About Matthew Brachmann

1421611414_nuukwi5qlan6bcf89tyi5j4q2egnzj3Matthew Brachmann recently graduated from Montini Catholic High School, located in Lombard, Illinois. An athlete while attending Montini, he participated on the basketball team and won two state championships with the football team. In addition to his athletic performance, Matthew Brachmann received all-academic conference honors as well the Mother Teresa and Saint John Baptist De LaSalle awards, honoring his character and ministry on campus.

He enrolled at Elmhurst College last fall, and has started his coursework for a degree in supply chain management and communications. Dedicated to serving others, he will spend the spring 2015 semester as a teaching assistant to help students in the classroom who have disabilities.

Away from his studies, Matt Brachmann enjoys skiing, exercising, and reading. His favorite author is Tim O’Brien, whose book The Things They Carried details the experiences of US soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War.
